    Project description:

    I am looking for an experienced electrical/electronics engineer to help with hardware and PCB design of an embedded systems product with a touchscreen.

    Below are the requirements.

    Option 1. Microcontroller with onboard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 

    Memory: EEPROM 
    (OR)
    Option 2. Single board computer with onboard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth   
    Memory: SD card + EEPROM   

    Components/Connectors:
    1 x 3.5″ capactivie touchscreen with 480 x 320 pixel resolution
    1 x UART interface with external  connectors RJ-10P (female) and JST-8P (female)
    1 x I2C interface with an external connector JST-4P (female)
    1 x external 3 pin connector GND – VCC – Signal (female) [JST-3P or JST-4P]
    1 x speaker 
    1 x microphone

    Power: USB 5V

    Language support: Python

    Quality: Automotive / commercial / industrial grade

    Responsibilities:
     Select the components based on the requirements and desired cost
     Design the circuit
     Schematic entry of new design
     Review certification compliance design
     Calculate the power consumption
     List the critical signals
     PCB design
     Generate DXF
     System level verification( check mechanical design compatibility)

      I'm interested, please check my profile. I have more than 6 years of industrial & research experience in electronics and semiconductors. I have worked on many PCBs of frequencies ranging from Sub GHz (868MHz/915MHz) up to 16GHz for wireless sensor networks and high speed SerDes applications. I have Extensive experience with board/device debugging and bring up, and lab equipment: Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzer, Bit Error Rate Testers (BER), Signal generators, Digital Acquisition Modules, Vector Network Analyzer. I taught Analog CMOS Design, Electronics Lab & Embedded C at the University of British Columbia.
